PASTURE RAISED POULTRY INTERNSHIP - CHICKEN FARM HAND
10-15 Hours/Week
May-October 2025
(Fridays, Saturdays, and your choice of Sundays or Mondays)
8:30am Start Time

PAY:

$17 per hour w/ option for course credits available

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. in a safe and ergonomic manner
Ability to be on your feet for prolonged periods
Must wear protective clothing, work gloves, farm boots, etc.
Reliable transportation to/from farm​

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Care, feeding, and manually moving enclosures for broiler chickens on pasture. Care and feeding of chicks in brooder barn. Washing feeders and waterers to reset in between batches of chickens. Assistance of moving birds from brooder to pasture. 

Please note that this job does not include any killing of the chickens, but you may encounter mortalities throughout the course of your work day.
